Cost: £1.0m (purchase) + £0.4m (initial works)
This phase brings the building into immediate operational use, including key repairs, essential ground-floor refurbishment, and initial compliance work.
Additional Cost: £1.1m (total building refurbishment: £1.5m)
This includes roof replacement, lift instillation, improved energy efficiency, electrical upgrades, air-conditioning replacement, staircase safety works and full internal finishes.
Once completed, the building will provide a long-term, high quality, flexible space for church life and midweek ministry.
Cost: £2.0m
A purpose built hall seating around 450, enabling the whole church to meet on one site with room to grow.
By comparison, demolishing the existing building and constructing a fully new complex would be approximately £5.8m, making this approach a strong and cost-effective investment.
These phases allow us to beegin using the site quickly, complete the building systematically, and create a sustainable home for Christ Church Liverpool.
The actual timing of these works will depend upon fundraising. Our dream would be to do all the works at the same time, so as to maximise effiencies and costs savings.
